Get answers to common questions about Forearms.
Most clients enjoy smooth forearms for three to six weeks after waxing. Individual hair growth cycles vary; results last longer with consistent regular waxing because hair grows back finer and sparser. Sun exposure and exfoliation routines can affect longevity.
Some discomfort is normal, but our estheticians use quick, precise technique and soothing products to minimize pain. Numbing creams are usually unnecessary; breathing, topical calming gels, and scheduling around menstrual cycles can reduce sensitivity during treatment.
Ensure hair is at least quarter-inch long for effective removal. Avoid exfoliating 48 hours before, skip retinol and strong actives 3-5 days prior, and arrive with clean, product-free forearms to allow optimal waxing adhesion.
Minor redness, tenderness, or small bumps can appear immediately after waxing and usually subside within 24–48 hours. We apply calming serums and provide aftercare guidance; persistent irritation or signs of infection should be reported promptly.
Tell your esthetician about sensitivities, recent procedures, or medications like topical retinoids and blood thinners. Some medications increase irritation risk; we may recommend a patch test or delay waxing for safety.
For most clients, scheduling every four to six weeks balances removal and hair growth. As hair becomes finer with repeated waxing, appointment intervals may lengthen; our staff will recommend a personalized schedule based on your hair cycle and skin response.
