Ideally hair should be about a quarter inch (approximately 6 mm) long for effective waxing. You may trim if necessary, but avoid shaving for at least two weeks. Come clean, and skip heavy exfoliation the day of your appointment.

Sensitivity varies by individual, but most clients report quick, manageable discomfort that subsides fast. Our estheticians use proper technique, high-quality wax, and soothing aftercare to minimize pain. Topical numbing can be discussed if you have low tolerance or high anxiety.

Most clients return every four to six weeks while hair is regrowing. After several treatments, regrowth often slows and appointments can extend to six to eight weeks. Frequency depends on personal hair growth, desired upkeep, and comfort level.

Avoid tanning and aggressive exfoliation 48 hours prior, and skip retinoids or chemical peels for a week. Arrive clean and consider avoiding caffeine. Wear loose clothing for comfort. If you use medications or have skin conditions, inform your esthetician beforehand.

For 24–48 hours avoid hot baths, saunas, intense exercise, and fragranced products. Wear breathable cotton underwear, cleanse gently, and apply soothing aloe or antiseptic recommended by your esthetician. Begin gentle exfoliation after 48–72 hours to help prevent ingrown hairs.

Waxing can sometimes cause temporary irritation or ingrown hairs, though proper technique and consistent aftercare greatly reduce risk compared to shaving. We offer expert guidance, exfoliation recommendations, and targeted treatments to manage and prevent ingrowns for smoother skin.
